The Crypto Dad shows you how to move your google authenticator codes to a new phone. In this demo, I still have my old phone. So we will be using the old phone to help set up the new phone. If you ever get a new phone it is a good idea to keep the old phone around before you turn it in for credit or sell it. New social Media links! 1. Thank you. Wow - I was completely lost today receiving codes on my old phone not knowing how to transfer them. I disabled 2FA for the time being - not knowing, that that is actually the way to go. But the best tip is to save the back-up code in 1password in case I would loose the new phone. Thank you. Made my day :-)
  2. Do I need the sim card in my old phone? For some reason kucoin is saying the code is expired even though its one that's just been generated.
  3. Very disappointed in Google Authenticator and will stop using it. This is all fine IF and only IF you have your original phone. If you loose or reset your phone you are basically locked out all your accounts except for Google accounts themselves. No good!
  4. This Google Auth doent work on iPhones .. just runs you in circles and NOnE
  5. Thanks for sharing , that's great ! One question i have got is most exchanges will not alliw to change phone number from original registration so do i have to swap sim card with original number from my old phone into the new one or will the exchange now accept the google authenticator code from new device with the old simcard still in my old phone ?
  6. thanks

  9. I Lost my Google Authenticator key . Is there any way to recover the Key. Please help me
  10. What would you suggest if you are buying a new phone and trading in the old phone at the time of purchase? Seems like turning off 2FA before the purchase on some accounts, such as Coinbase, might be the best method?
