This is one of the first steps to take when trying to repair a Windows drive that is having trouble starting up. Essentially what it will try to do is find and replace startup files that are either missing or corrupt. 1. too ordinary. This method does not always work. The poster should have noted that. If your problem is more serious, like for example you attempted to upgrade windows 7 to windows 8 and failed, then the system will automatically uninstall the upgrade files to put you back your computer back to it original Win 7 state. And this most of the time is very problematic and fails to reverse the upgrade process. This is primarily caused by driver and system files corruption, or replacement during the failed upgrade attempt. Microsoft's abject incompetence is most vividly displayed with their failure to create a clean method of undoing a failed upgrade. The method specified in the video does not resolve this issue caused by a failed upgrade of Windows 7 to Windows 8.
